And what an incredible 8 months it has been! Estella has changed our lives. She is the light of our lives! She is sitting up all by herself, growing 2 teeth, trying her hand at the whole talking thing and developing quite an attitude! Estella turned 5 months on February 02, what a whirlwind!
When Estella was born we attempted to get Oscar's mom a visa to come live with us for a while. It would have been amazing... not only would I have gotten to know the most influencial woman in my husband's life better but she would have been Estella's care taker. It would have been complete bliss! However, the US Government had something else in mind and didnt approve the visa. So, Oscar went from full time to part time at Hill Country Bakery and has stayed home with Estella since she was 2 months old. He also became a full time student. He definitely has a full plate!
I would love to be a stay at home Mom, but that just isnt in the cards right now. However, I am certain that my time will come :). I am still with Accenture in the same role that I came down here to have. Its going well, of course, it has its moments of frustration. This is only magnified by my desire to be at home with my baby girl. It gives me so much peace of mind knowing Estella is at home with her Papito!
Estella's favorite thing to do currently is go on walks. I try to take her on a walk as often as I possibly can now that the weather is clearing up. She looks at the trees, the sky and takes big gulps of air when the wind hits her cute little face. The past few days it has been so nice that I have brought a big blanket on our walks with a bag full of toys. We play until she gets fussy or the sun is covered by the trees.
I plan on updating our blog on a regular basis so that friends and family can see a little of what we are up to. I am not the best at keeping in touch!
