Estella is 6 Months!

It is so hard to believe that the little girl that was inside my belly just yesterday (or so it seems) is almost crawling, has 2 teeth, a BIG attitude, the most amazing little personality, is 6 months old tomorrow. It has gone by in a flash! in another 6 months we will be celebrating her 1st birthday! CRAZY!

Here are a few pictures of Estella taken today-
Estella in her highchair enjoying some Cherrios. She's loving her new teeth :)

Here she is attempting to crawl - she is constantly scooting about, twisting and turning.

She puts anything and everything in her mouth. Teething is such a joy!

And finally... remember that attitude I told you about? Here it is :)

We have been keeping quite busy. Last weekend my Dad and Melissa joined us. We had a great time exploring the sights and tastes of San Antonio. We went to the river walk and on a river boat ride, had lunch in the ghetto (that is where you find the best BBQ), experienced the Alamo and Oscar and I even got to go on a date! Dad and Melissa were kind enough to give me and Oscar the night off. We went to see a movie - we used to go see movies ALLLL the time. That is really the only thing that having Estella limits us to not doing anymore. We really enjoyed it! We had such a wonderful time. It was sad to see them go. We are recruiting them to move down to San Antonio. :)

Oscar is trucking through his first semester at San Antonio College. Soon not only will he be a full time student, but a full time employee again. As you may or may not know, Oscar gave up his full time position in order to stay home with Estella until we felt more comfortable putting her in daycare. He has been working one day a week in the office and a few hours a week at home. Oscar was recently asked to come back full time - they missed him! With the way things are right now you dont say no to a good job! There is, however, one drawback.

Estella will be starting daycare the week after next. I have been dreading this day since the day I found out I was pregnant with her. We found a daycare that we really like and with which we feel as comfortable as possible. Its family owned and founded by a Mom (a nurse) and a daughter (a teacher). They are so warm, welcoming and understanding of our aprehension. Estella is such a social butterfly and so very curious... I am in one way excited for her because she will be with other kids and have so much stimulation all around. There are daily lesson plans with all sorts of cool curriculum (if you can call it that at this age). I know she will thrive, I am just wondering if I will! I am trying to maintain an optimistic attitude, but I know I will be bawling all day that day.

I found out last week that I will be traveling to Redmond the week of March 16th for business. I am bringing Estella so she can hang out with my family. It is so cool that she will be spending such quality time with her aunt, uncle and grandparents. My family already has a full schedule for her. My Dad wants to take her to the zoo, my mom is going to bring her to see her Great Grandma Mary... Such a lucky girl!

Life is good.
